The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is searching for an Executive Chef.
The Executive Chef is responsible for supervising all culinary operations at the Museum including daily restaurant and special events/catering while meeting quality and operating objectives. This position has the ultimate responsibility for the supervision of the entire culinary team, for leading menu development, all culinary sustainability efforts, and for the safety and sanitation of culinary operations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years high volume catering and restaurant production experience as well as a minimum of five years experience training and directing a kitchen staff of no less than 20. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proven track record of successful high volume labor and food cost management is a must. Additionally, the Chef will have solid computer skills including demonstrated experience with automated inventory and catering software systems. Candidates should also have current Serve Safe certification or the ability to obtain.
This position requires moderate effort with the ability to life up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and the ability to stand for eight or more hours per day. Flexibility to work weeks and nights required.
