An exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst exists at University HealthCare Alliance’s Hayward site. UHA is a new medical foundation affiliated with Stanford Hospital & Clinics.
Under the direction of the Decision Support Manager, responsibilities include development and production of all operational analysis and financial reporting for UHA. Reporting and analysis include proformas, payer reimbursement analysis, creation and standardization of performance dashboards, and reporting of monthly divisional statistics and projections. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, physicians and UHA leadership (specifically Finance, Reimbursement and Physician Compensation teams).
The Financial Analyst is also responsible for providing support to the Decision Support Manager in the coordination of the operating and capital budgets processes. Key responsibilities include the preparation and distribution of annual budgets and payroll data.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred), 3+ years of experience successfully applying technical skills in the areas of accounting and financial analysis, preferably in an ambulatory healthcare organization. Demonstrated experience with budgeting and financial systems, knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, MGMA accounting and analysis skills, including technical factors, standard methodologies and equipment, and strong problem-solving, written/verbal communication and computer skills (Excel, Access and preferably Lawson & Anodyne) are required.
