The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General is accepting resumes for a Health and Dental Investigator. The Office is responsible for assisting state health-related licensing boards, including the Board of Dentistry, in investigating alleged violations of Minnesota laws regulating licensees. A key function of the Investigator position is to obtain, review and analyze documents regarding complaints against licensees, conduct interviews of witnesses and licensees concerning complaint allegations, and prepare reports summarizing investigative findings. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional with an interest in promoting quality and public safety in the health care sector, including the dental profession.
Job Duties & Qualification:
Investigators conduct investigations of licensed health care professionals by obtaining, reviewing and analyzing documents, and interviewing witnesses, and licensees. Preferred qualifications include:
- An applicable Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a health related field.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and/or dental billing, including thorough past work in the dental field, such as a dental assistant.
- Demonstrated writing and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical record keeping systems.
