Opportunity Charter is a middle and high school located in Harlem that serves all students, regardless of past academic performance or learning profile. Our teachers collaborate closely with their grade team members (other content teachers, learning specialists, related service providers, social workers and behavior specialists) to help our students reach success
The High School Principal is the instructional leader for the high school (HS), coaching and inspiring teachers to reach and teach every child, collaborating with parents and families, and working with the community to make the School successful. The High School Principal will manage the high school’s curriculum and instruction in a manner that is in alignment with the School’s mission, goals, and policies, and will be responsible for the well-being of the high school, its staff members, and its students.
Minimum Education and Experience: Must have one of the following: NYS certification in Special Education, or Master degree in Special Education, or Master degree in Special Education in Leadership. At least five years teaching experience also required. An administrative degree or certification and coaching/mentoring experience preferred.
