The Villages, Inc. is looking for married couples interested in a full-time, live-in career as house parents in one of our group homes in Lawrence and Topeka, Kansas. We adhere to a family model and provide a homelike atmosphere. House parents have all of the responsibilities of being a parent, meeting the physical, emotional and social needs of the youth in their care, as well as the additional responsibilities of managing the house budget and supervising youth care staff. House parents are an important part of the therapeutic team and they participate in the decision making process for all of the youth in their care. The homes are licensed for 10 youth between the ages of 6-18 who are in the custody of the Juvenile Justice Authority. The group homes are located on a beautiful nature preserve, just minutes away from all the conveniences of town.

Successful candidates will be over 21, have a high school diploma, a valid drivers license and a good driving record, experience working with at-risk youth and able to pass background checks.
