Overview :
Assist the mobile platforms team in designing, implementing, testing and maintaining payment applications for the iPhone platform in an agile development environment using Scrum
Developers are expected to take on new languages and technologies beyond their comfort zone and be flexible enough to assist their scrum team in a multitude of roles
Responsibilities :
Work with Team Leads, QA Engineers, customers and other developers to create, maintain, document and troubleshoot iPhone applications and other software
Assist in application design, create functional and technical specifications for new applications, modules and enhancements
Assist in UI design with focus on usability specific to the iPhone platform
Create prototypes for client engagement
Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
Prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Proactively initiate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with team members
Mentor other team members on iPhone development best practices
Work with QA, Technical Writers and Product Managers throughout the release process to address defects
Qualifications :
BS in computer science or equivalent
7+ Years of software development experience
3+ Years of iPhone or Android development experience
Thorough knowledge of the iPhone or Android SDK and programming environment
Experience working as a key contributor to at least one released iPhone or Android application
Experience with XCode, Objective-C, Cocoa, iPhone SDK
Development background with C, C++ & Objective-C
Strong object oriented programming and design skills
Demonstrated ability to build intuitive user interfaces for mobile applications
Good optimization and debugging skills
Proven track record writing Multi-threaded code and experience with synchronous and asynchronous code
Understands client server and internet systems architectures
Experience developing UI for iPhone or Android applications that interfaces with lower OS layer
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff
Able to work effectively in a team environment and also independently
Scrum experience is preferred
Background with RIM platforms is a big plus
