Responsible for direct nursing care of patients in the critical care setting. Performs all aspects of direct patient care and works with other disciplines/ancillary services in the care they provide. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care. Communicates with the patient’s physician regarding changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards.
Current Texas Registered Nurse license and ACLS required. CCRN encouraged. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with three (3) years RN experience within the last 48 months and 18 months of acute/critical care experience.
