SNVC is seeking a Security Engineer to work with a trusted partner at Ft. Huachuca, AZ on several on-going contracts/task orders. The successful candidate will serve as part of the team supporting the assessment, development, operation, management, and enforcement of security capabilities for systems and networks. Technical support is concentrated on the protection and defense of information systems by ensuring their availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. This includes providing for their restoration by incorporating protection, detection, and reaction capabilities. Must be capable of performing security analysis; network and systems security assessments, security product evaluations; securing information systems; developing security, certification and accreditation documentation; certification testing; and other similar activities. Duties focus on the Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Information Assurance Management (IAM), CND Analyst, CND Auditor and IA Systems Architects and Engineers (IASAEs). Academia curricula which support this labor category include: Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Systems Technology, Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Engineering, and Computer Science. Candidate must be flexible enough to support simultaneous projects and task order and be proficient in both Information Assurance and Network Engineering skills to include network assessments and DIACAP accreditation documentation.
Performs extensive assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy through passive evaluations (compliance audits) and active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).
Establishes strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems to include process support, analysis support, coordination support, security certification test support, security documentation support, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections and periodic audits.
Assists in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., NISPOM, DCID 6/3), and makes recommendations on process tailoring.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must hold a current TOP SECRET security clearance
Must be maintain DoD 8570 certifications including the following or higher: Security+, Network +, CISSP
Must be capable of performing security analysis; network and systems security assessments, security product evaluations; securing information systems; developing security, certification and accreditation documentation; certification testing; and other similar activities.
Must have working knowledge of DIACAP Accreditation documentation requirements
Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution involving the academic curricula.
Must have ten years experience in IA technology or a related area, and at a minimum comply with the applicable DoD 8570.01M IAT/IAM/IASAE level III and the CND Analyst/Auditor. Must have at least five years of experience in information assurance or related area.
Experience supporting US Army ISEC IASED and/or Army MEDCOM IT/IA community is a plus
