Position Title: Contract Therapist -Outpatient Mental Health

A successful team member at Tree of Life Counseling is one that possesses excellent communication and organizational skills, works well independently, is motivated by success, and is driven to make the therapeutic environment a priority for our clients and other staff members. We provide services primarily to those with private insurance.
Our purpose is to provide superb outpatient therapy by fully licensed North Carolina therapists. We aim to assess and strategically treat clients’ needs with evidence -based treatments. Our therapists schedule their own sessions and provide services within an office setting. We offer services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. We offer a wide variety of services and encourage our therapists to collaborate with others in order to expand their knowledge and be able to provide the best possible service to our clients.
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must have a Master’s degree or higher
-Must have a valid full un-restricted NC License to practice therapy
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as suitable computer skills (web based EHR programs, Microsoft Word and Excel)
-Must be able to utilize electronic medical records and willing to independently train on a new system
-Must have an NPI number and an updated CAQH profile
-Must be able to pass a thorough personal background check and professional licensure background check
The following credentials apply when seeking employment with Tree of Life Counseling as a therapist and must be provided:
-Licensed Professional Counselors, proof of current license to practice from the NC Board of Licensed Professional Counselors
-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, proof of current license to practice from the NC Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board
-Licensed Psychologists, proof of current license to practice from the NC Psychology Board
-Licensed Clinical Social Workers, proof of graduation with a Masters Degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and proof of current certification of licensure from the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board
-Complete assessments, progress notes, diagnosis, recommend treatment, treatment planning (Medicaid only clients), discharge planning and apply appropriate therapeutic modalities.
-Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
-Demonstrate ability to assess treatment recipient’s risk of harm to self, others, and/or the community.
-Able to demonstrate skills in mediation, facilitation, advocacy and resolving systemic concerns.
-Present one self in a professional manner.
-Demonstrate ability to prioritize, use time management skills as well as organizational skills in order to practice independently within a team.
-Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with positive productive interaction with other professionals and staff members.
-Demonstrate ability to work with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.
-Ability to network within your profession as well as others.
-Responsible for finding and maintain a caseload of 15-25 clients, we assist with marketing, and business cards.
-Be responsible for a portion of the fees for insurance credentialing.
PREFERENCE IN HIRING:
-Therapists with a caseload (~ 10 clients)
-Therapist currently on insurance panels
-If taking Medicaid clients, must be paneled with Sandhills prior to start date.
