Part Time Photographer
Salary: DOE

The Photographer works directly with a creative team, developing concepts for various photography needed for a print magazine. Candidate executes photography from start to finish independently with excellence. Candidate must be proficient in portrait, architectural, food, and event photography. Please include examples of these in portfolio submission.

Skills:
Using the latest technologies, hardware and software, the Photographer will implement quality throughout all work by having a strong concept of lighting, proportions, principals and elements of design; be able to pay great attention to detail while maintaining tight project deadlines; be driven to learn and grow while being a motivated and supportive team member. You must have experience on a Macintosh computer and extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 5, including Photoshop and Bridge. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities:
The Photographer helps ensure the utmost quality of all creative projects and understands how to achieve the appropriate look for each photograph.

The Photographer prepares for projects by gathering information and materials, plans concepts by studying information and materials cohesively with the creative team. The Photographer then obtains concept approval from the creative team. He/She is expected to then execute a final photograph that is polished and effective and make sure that it reflects any given goal of that specific project.

Although photography projects will be a majority of the Photographer’s responsibility, he/she is also responsible for completing those projects by coordinating with outside agencies, event coordinators, etc. to complete projects efficiently.

The Photographer is also to ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.
