The Technology Specialist is responsible for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating technology programs, activities and events under the direct supervision of the Education Director (or any other staff as so designated by the Clubhouse Director) and providing individual guidance and referrals as needed.
Recruit members for programs
Ensure the delivery and prompt evaluation of assigned programs and activities
Initiate and maintain community contacts; families, schools and other organizations and institutions, as well as collaborate with outside entities to enhance programs and services, as directed
Develop and implement new initiatives as needed or as directed
Participate in organizational meetings and conferences as requested
Ensure a healthy, safe environment in program areas
Ensure proper use, maintenance and upgrades of Technology Center and Technology Center materials and equipment
Troubleshoot, identify needs and make recommendations for upgrading hardware and software
Maintain an up-to-date, well-organized and engaging technology space to attract member participation
Demonstrate behavior aligned with Madison’s core values
Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, ages 6-18 as well as a range of other organizational personnel in a courteous and professional manner
Highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
Proven track record of engaging youth in a responsible and mature manner
