Peace Corps Response recruits U.S. citizens with at least 10 years of professional experience as well as returned Peace Corps Volunteers for short-term, high-impact assignments. These positions are streamlined and designed for Volunteers to hit the ground running.

Two Peace Corps Response Volunteers are needed to serve as Public Relations Specialists for the All-Ukraine PLWH Network. The organization’s main mission is to meet and protect legal, social, economic, artistic and other interests of members and clients, based on promoting healthy lifestyles among people, help in overcoming alcohol and drugs dependency, increasing quality of life for people living with HIV /AIDS and their close circle, forming tolerant attitudes towards people living with HIV, and lobbying access to treatment of HIV / AIDS.

The Public Relations Specialists with intermediate Russian language skills are needed to take a lead in creating a website platform, a template proofreading the English-language website, as well as promoting it. The Volunteers will meet with management to discuss public relations goals, timelines and methods and develop promotional materials in English as well as participate in the development of the NGO’s website, developing the English version of the website and promoting through social media. The Public Relations Specialists will also participate in technical training for clients, youth in educational institutions and to staff in organizational development. The goal of this project is to improve communication to potential partners and donors and ensure efficient use of resources.

Mandatory Qualifications:
B.A. in public relations or a related field
Intermediate Russian language skills
At least 2 years of work experience in public relations
Tolerance and willingness to serve people living with HIV/AIDS and most-at-risk populations, including people who inject drugs, commercial sex workers, and street youth
User-level IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, website management, and social media.

Desired Qualifications:
Intermediate Ukrainian language skills
Demonstrated ability to perform similar duties in the past
Past successful experience in organizing fundraising events and PR campaigns
Experience in working with government agencies or healthcare institutions
