What we want from our ideal candidate is someone who will hit the virtual and real pavement to bring us more readers. The person taking this job will be responsible for frequently operating our Twitter and Facebook pages, both with links to stories from our sites and to keep our sites engaged in social media discussions. You will also all Sabres and Bills games to mingle with fans, distribute promotional materials and make people aware that they're missing out on the region's premier source for sports news.
You will also write stories as needed. Our sites have access to the press box at Sabres games, so you may be able to provide live game coverage from inside the arena. You will also need to attend Sabres practices as needed to provide player and off-day features. We'd also like to extend our focus some to incorporate Rochester, so the ideal candidate would be willing and able to attend Amerks games, as well.
