Lourdes Foundation seeks an effective, innovative and seasoned major gifts officer with experience building a major gifts program and cultivating long-term relationships with prospects and donors, and a proven track record in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
This position works closely with and reports to the Vice President & Chief Philanthropy Officer. Responsibilities include designing, implementing and advancing a comprehensive major gifts donor relations strategy, as part of a comprehensive philanthropic program.
The position will meet or exceed annual goals as defined each year in a personal assessment score card. All job functions are performed with a high degree of professionalism, including responsibility, initiative, creativity, dependability, cooperation, and courtesy.
Master’s degree preferred. Bachelor degree required. Minimum five years experience in major gift fund development and the proven ability to establish a network of persons with influence and affluence to support the mission of Lourdes. Capital campaign experience is highly desirable.
Lourdes Foundation, was established as a hospital foundation to solicit, hold, invest and administer funds, property, and interests, and to make expenditures, transfers or distributions to or for the benefit of Lourdes Hospital, Inc. Lourdes Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity from Lourdes. The purpose of Lourdes Foundation, Inc. is to raise funds to assist Mercy Health Partners – Lourdes in their exempt purpose of providing health care to the community. Funds are raised primarily through special activities and the receipt of charitable contributions. The Foundation provides community benefit for patients, staff and to meet the healthcare needs of the community in a number of ways.
