Under the general direction of the Surgeon leading the case, the First Assist is responsible for the delivery of professional, safe and quality patient care in the operative suite. The First Assist functions as the assistant to the operating surgeon during the operative procedure and provides direction of care during the perioperative phase to surgical team members.

Must have graduated from an accredited RNFA, ARNP, or PA program and hold the appropriate WA State licensure. For RNFA: 1) BSN is required within five years from date of hire; 2) CNOR is required within one year from date of hire. Willing to train ARNP to RNFA.
