We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support our small to mid- market customers LAN/WAN environments. You will be an integral part of a team that is tasked with further developing our Microsoft Managed Partnership which is quickly becoming a large part of our overall business. Our firm specializes in both managed and professional services covering the infrastructure stack from Microsoft (Windows, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, Office 365, System Center, Lync, etc.). We offer professional services which includes a full line of Microsoft Solutions. We also offer Managed Services to Southern California territories.
This engineer will be responsible for day to day administration, disaster recovery, network design and project implementations. This engineer must also be willing to service desktop level problems on a limited basis. Responsibilities associated with this position include application support, integration, network administration, desktop troubleshooting, hardware/software procurement and installation, and asset/license management.
What you will be doing:
-Working as point of technical escalation for Managed Operations Center
-Work with sales team to act as presales consultant/architect
-Work on SOW, RFQ, or other types of proposals for sales department.
-Part of on-call rotation team of engineers, responding to, and resolving incidents in the production environment
-Automating processes to reduce manual involvement
-Configuring and utilizing monitoring tools to ensure high uptime
Candidate must be able to travel within the San Diego area only, with potential for travel in southern California. Flexibility is a must.
Candidate MUST be a highly organized and a motivated team player.
Candidate should have with 5-10 years experience in supporting Microsoft environment
Candidate must be well versed in Windows Server (NT through 2012 preferred)
Candidate must be well versed in Windows Workstation (NT through 8 preferred)
Candidate must be well versed in Small Business Server (all versions preferred)
Candidate must be well versed in Exchange (2003 through 2013 preferred)
Candidate must be well versed in Hyper-V
Candidate must be well versed in Active Directory
Candidate must be well versed in PowerShell and/or VBS
Candidate should be well versed in supporting Office 365
Candidate should be well versed in supporting Lync
Candidate should be well versed in working with clients
