Linear Technology is seeking a Development Engineer who will define, design, and develop uModule products. uModule products are complete, high-density, and easy to use system-in-package power solutions for industrial, medical, aerospace and automotive applications.
Required Skills
Qualified candidates will have the following requirements:
- 10+ years power supply design
o Isolated power design
o Worked with buck, flyback and boost topologies
o Understand component selection with a knowledge of various suppliers
- Excellent lab bench skills
o This is a hands on development position
o PWB design (PADS preferred)
o Schematic capture (Orcad preferred)
o Design (Autocad preferred)
o Gantt Charting tool
o MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Project Coordination / Management Experience - This is a hands on development position, but the successful candidate must be able to simultaneously handle a large number of development projects
Preferred:
- Strong Communication Skills
o PowerPoint presentation
o Explain problems, issue and solutions clearly
- History of successfully taking designs to market
- Experience supervising technicians and junior engineers
- Experience with offline and forward converters
- Experience designing and testing power supply EMI filters
- Safety Certification Experience - UL, TUV, etc
