The University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking an experienced individual to consult in the development and implementation of compensation programs. Reporting to the Director of Compensation in the central human resources office, the incumbent functions as a seasoned compensation professional, providing high-level compensation consultative support in innovative compensation design, job family and leveling design and implementation, base pay administration and building consensus with internal clients. Must use strong analytical, technical and project management skills to identify, organize and analyze data while providing a high level of expertise in anticipating needs and obstacles and demonstrating problem solving to achieve successful results.
Responsibilities include research and analysis of cost-effective and legally compliant base pay programs. Works with HR leadership by reviewing policies and procedures, collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and statistics in the development, planning and execution of human resources strategies. Researches new laws and regulations to determine the impact on compensation programs, reporting requirements and communication implications.
To qualify candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. CCP certification preferred. Five or more years experience directly related to compensation and conducting job analyses and job evaluations is required. Strong analytical and job analysis skills are also required.
This is a visiting academic professional appointment and will be considered for renewal every six months.
