The Web Application Coordinator is responsible for central authentication and authorization, single sign-on, application security of IT services delivered by the Strategic Technology team, and coordination of the security and identity management team. This position includes managing the enterprise directory, single sign-on, and central access authorization includes multi-factor authentication. The Web Application Security Coordinator would also provide expertise and guidance to colleagues and student assistants regarding application security and security integration.

Education/Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology
  • Demonstrated experience implementing application security, role based access, and single sign-on best practices;
  • Demonstrated experience with single sign-on solutions such as Shibboleth and SAML 2.0;
  • Demonstrated experience securing service oriented architectures and web applications;
  • Experience implementing multi-factor authentication;
  • Experience implementing web service security standards such as WS-Security, SAML 2, OAuth2, and OpenID; experience working with digital certificates;
  • Experience designing and implementing a role based access control solution;
  • Experience with Active Directory; experience leading or coordinating a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing digital certificate distribution
  • Experience with Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)
  • Experience with CAS
  • Experience with identity management systems especially Oracle Identity Manager 11g

Knowledge: Significant knowledge of security standards, security assurance techniques, and related tools; demonstrated knowledge of application development and implementation; working knowledge of Oracle databases, Java J2EE; HTML, XML, and PHP; understanding of Unix infrastructure and enterprise application systems.

Operating Systems- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), AIX (Bourne shell scripting) or equivalent, Windows server 2010, Windows 7 and 8, Mac OS X 10.6+

Languages/Technologies- Java, J2EE, JSP, EJB, XML, HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, PERL, Shell scripting
