PNC has an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary. In this position, you will provide
support to senior level attorneys by performing a wide range of high level legal secretarial, administrative and general office related duties. This position places a strong emphasis on producing a high quality work product with limited supervision often under strict deadlines. Additionally, in this role, you will prepare and edit legal documents, perform legal research, answer incoming phone calls, manage calendars, make travel arrangements, prepare expense accounts, and process invoices. Furthermore, you will prepare and/or assist in the production of legal documents as well as interpret and apply knowledge of legal terminology to such documents, specific to the assigned practice group.
Additionally, in this role, you will provide administrative support by organizing and expediting the flow of work through the attorneys’ office, communicating assignments and instructions from the attorney with various individuals and/or external sources, as well as initiating follow-up as required. You will contribute to the efficiency of the Department by providing assistance to attorneys and co-workers outside of the assigned practice group as well. To accomplish these goals, you must demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to interact with business people and co-workers, and the ability to contribute to teamwork building and cross-training among the practice groups.
Finally, your provision of general office support will also include the screening and routing of telephone calls, processing mail, receiving visitors, responding to requests for information by researching the issues, gathering data, providing information when appropriate,
and obtaining and furnishing information to save the attorneys’ time. These tasks will be accomplished by learning and applying knowledge of the corporation and legal department's policies and procedures as well as the Bank's customer information systems and legal research databases.
