Coast Community College District: Construction Manager; URS
Description: Managed construction of the 55,000-ft2 cast-in-place architectural concrete and steel-framed building, including a media center, communication studio, study areas, and community meeting room. Project was delivered with multiple prime contracts. Provided expedited constructability reviews to facilitate the submittal to DSA. Project included architectural concrete walls (exposed on interior), extensive technology installations, and sustainable design components. Project was scheduled using two site phases, minimizing campus disruptions.
Port of Long Beach (POLB) Administration Building & Maintenance Facility – Long Beach, CA (2006–2009), Program Manager; URS
Description: Managed all aspects of construction activities at the new 255,000-ft2 facility, 105,000-ft2 maintenance facility, central plant, subterranean 500-car parking area, and park improvements. Project is certified LEED® Gold.
Santa Ana Unified School District – Santa Ana, CA (2001–2007)
Description: Hector G. Godinez Fundamental High School (2003–2006); Program Director; URS —Construction of a new 231,392 ft2 high school, park improvements, and miscellaneous off-site work.
Heroes Elementary School (2006–2007); Program Director - URS —Project is one of the most technologically-advanced elementary schools in Orange County.
Four Portable to Permanent (P2P Schools) (2002–2004)—Phased projects involving relocation of students to new facilities, removal of portable classrooms and site improvements.
Construction Manager- Design Build Projects

Suiza, Packaged Ice, Quebecor Energy Improvement and Retrofit Projects
As Construction Manager was responsible for design-build energy improvement and retrofit projects, which included the installation of temporary and new refrigeration equipment, conversion from R-22 systems to Ammonia, compressed air modifications, and the installation of various types of manufacturing equipment. Working with EES's developers, developed site surveys, energy audits and implemented a work plan utilizing a design/build delivery. Contract Administration responsibilities included management of all contracts, pre-construction design services, scoping documents, design development packages, bid documents, schedules, construction, commissioning, final commissioning reports, and change management required for Design/Build construction contracts.

Disney California Adventure - Served as Project Manager assisting and advising senior management on special projects in the early stages of the development of the project. Scope included Interface Management - A process consisting of checks and stop points, as well as a formalized set of requirements and responsibilities that allowed the project
team to focus on the interface points and apply resolutions and or coordination.
Developed RAMP (Risk Assessment & Management Program) with the project
team that included process and procedures to assist the project team in documenting Disney's Resort policies, practices and processes, traffic studies,
projects by external city and government agencies into reference volumes.
Santa Ana Unified School District, Mendez Intermediate School, CA, ($25M)
Also known as the "Space Saver School", this compact middle school is located within a retail center in urban Santa Ana designed as an architecturally innovative 180,000 square foot, three-story building over a parking garage. The project incorporated joint-use at-grade parking under the classrooms, a 500-foot drop-off runway, and blending high activity school uses into a busy shopping center. Scope included field support, schedule review, project controls, and claims defense and cost mitigation.
KPMG, Los Angeles Improvement Project, CA ($7.4 million)
Served as Project Manager for pre-construction services of a tenant improvement
comprising of 6 floors totaling a 132,900 square foot located in a downtown high- rise building. The scope included the demolition and improvement for a space plan utilizing workstations designed for "hoteling". The project included specialty construction, which included video conferencing, integration of A/V equipment into the furniture systems, a distance learning center, A/V supported training center, regional data center, security systems, cafe, and fire/life safety systems.
Remington Condominiums, CA ($53 million)
Served as Construction Manager for the 23-story high-rise condominium project
consisting of high quality residential units and three levels of subterranean parking. The post-tensioned concrete structure contains 93 residential units, two-story penthouse units, courtyard entry, recreation room, articulated facades, and a Porte Cochere entry. Scope includes construction of a high-rise building on Wilshire Boulevard, with tight site constraints. Responsibilities included pre- construction services including constructability review, VE, bid package preparation, bidding, bid analysis, site logistic studies and scheduling.
Air Liquide, Santa Fe Springs, CA ($3.5 million)
Served as Project Manager in the design and construction of an R &D facility
production for industrial specialty gas technology for the supplying of oxygen,
nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and other gases. The construction required a
facility that included process piping, emergency smoke and fire suppression
systems, fire and HAZMAT alarms, backup power, air containment , emergency
evacuation, electrical systems for an H1 and H2 hazardous facilities occupancies.
Student Union Seismic/Mech - California State University Long Beach
September 1995 to October 1996
Seismic/Mechanical Retrofit and Expansion, CA ($17 million)
Served as On-site Construction Manager representing the University Office of
Physical Planning and Facility Management. This improvement project for the
Student Union consisted of seismic upgrades, building expansion for new
conference and study areas with technology/media systems, main electrical
distribution upgrades, relocation of underground utilities, food court,
chilled/hot water distribution change over to the central plant system.

Developed Perspective Design Studies for the new Fresno, Santa Ana, and San
Diego Federal Building and Courthouses, seismic upgrade and improvement of the Santa Ana Federal Building and Courthouse for GSA based on federal guidelines of PBS (PQ-100) and courts caseload.
Arcadia Unified School District Modernization Program ($40 million)
Served as Construction Manager. This project entailed the management of prime
K-12 schools contracts that included state funding. Responsible for the administration of the complete project management required to implement improvement projects for 3 middle schools and 1 elementary school. This included the preparation of contracts, budgets, solicitation to bidders detailed project documentation, reports, change order negotiation, management of costs and control systems, as well as field supervision of trades.
Relocation and Consolidation of Wells Fargo Bank and 1st Interstate Bank
Units ($10 million). As Construction Manager, administered relocation and consolidation facilities that were a result of the two banks merging. Included extensive installation of system furniture, voice/data systems, T1 lines and the planning, and executing
moves.

Jamboree Center, Irvine, CA ($47 million)
As Associate Partner, construction administration responsibilities included
administration of the construction of twin 12 story travertine clad office

incorporated a long glass entry system.
Nexus Corporate Center, Orange, CA ($20 million)
As Associate Partner, management responsibilities included coordination of one
eight, and two four story office buildings plus 1,000 car parking structure. Facade
used was three inch anchor brick veneer. Scope also included coordination of TI
