Provided daily assistance by covering housing policy initiatives and issues in the national news that impacted the federal legislative agenda to support ongoing research produced by senior level staff.  
Attended hearings on Capitol Hill regarding the Preserving Enhancing and Transforming Rental Assistance (PETRA) legislative proposal and notated and synthesized content for working papers produced by the Housing Policy Analysts 
Collaborated with senior level staff to organize a panel discussion and public input series on particular aspects of the proposed PETRA legislation that resulted in substantive feedback 
Developed an annotated bibliography and matrix of proposals on existing literature and policy recommendations for the reformation of the Mortgage Interest Tax Deduction research paper that was produced by the Housing Policy Analysts

Served as project manager for all residential developments that included major and minor subdivision developments as well as multifamily developments that resulted in the approval of over 1,500 new residential units

Drafted and gained approval of a zoning ordinance amendment to allow accessory apartments as an affordable housing option within city limits 
Drafted the Population, Housing, and Economic Development elements of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan that was later approved as a part of the entire document 
Collaborated with the Planning Director to conduct a survey and facilitate stakeholder and community input meetings for the 2030 Comprehensive Plan that reached over 1,000 citizens to assess their needs and build consensus to help ensure eventual approval of the Plan


Enterprise Community Partners

March 2006 to October 2007

Provided assistance in all areas of the Atlanta Renewal Community Program and collaborated with the Program Director to create HUD mandated documents for implementation and compliance with federal Community Renewal Act legislation. 
Collaborated with the Program Director to draft and develop the program’s mandatory Tax Incentive Utilization Plan that was approved by The Department of Housing and Urban Development  
Developed a system to engage the residents of the program area and facilitated community input meetings to build consensus for the program’s Tax Incentive Utilization Plan 
Established Lunch-n-Learn series that informed and engaged hundreds of citizens and businesses to make them aware of how to qualify for and use the available federal tax incentives 
Collaborated with staff to recommend the awarding of approximately $24 million in Commercial Revitalization Tax Deductions for commercial redevelopment projects that resulted in the creation of over 300 new jobs
