InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States.

Foreign-Trade Zone #147 is a regional economic development project that encompasses the counties of Adams, Berks, Dauphin, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York. There are numerous FTZ sites that are strategically located to offer convenient on-site inter-modal transport links for air, road and rail transportation. The Foreign-Trade Zone is operated by the Berks Economic Partnership, and the Partnership for Economic Development of York County. The Zone Project is administered by Campbell Trade Group, Inc.

Murata Small Business Incubator

October 2008 to Present

Murata is a regional business incubator serving the counties of Cumberland, Perry and Dauphin. The facility is designed to house 28 businesses through flexible office and light manufacturing spaces. These firms remain in the supportive environment of the incubator for three to five years. Business counseling is provided by several business development organizations. An associate client program is available to businesses operating from the home and not yet ready for a lease, but need the services and address of a professional business.

Carlisle Area School District's General Advisory Committee

The General Advisory Committee works with the school district's Center for Careers and Technology and hosts a number of career development activities throughout the school year including a Parent-Student Orientation, Career Exposition, tours, recruitment fairs and special programming for eighth and ninth grade students. 
The committee also provides several opportunities for students to develop their technical skills, showcase their talents and serve their community through participation in multiple programs and activities. Committee members help students compete for scholarships and other prizes in local, state and national competitions.
