Replaced legacy application, increasing availability to more users. Designed and implemented JSPs utilizing Struts, and jQuery. Experiences with Rational Application Developer and Eclipse.
• Developed Domino web-based application that provides real-time access to information on chemicals used by employees worldwide, saving client $850K annually. Application utilizes Java, HTML, JavaScript, DB2, SQL, JDBC and JNDI. Application highlights are:
- Provided strategic and financial benefits for IBM, including a single worldwide solution that replaced numerous other applications, national language support capability and ease of access to chemical information.
- Redesigned, planned and implemented extensive changes of Domino web-based chemical application to provide Toxic Substances Control Act information on schedule. Changes were part of an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency to avoid fines of up to hundreds of thousands of dollars if they had not been deployed on time.
