Irene Rickertt grew up in Boone, Iowa and relocated to Colorado in 1978.
She joined IBM's Information Products Division (IPD) that year, working in copier manufacturing. Irene remained with IPD until 1988 when she moved to IBM Administrative Services. In 1997, she began work as a contractor in Administrative Services until rejoining IBM in 2000 in Business Operations, managing IBM's Resource Management System (RMS) until 2004. Irene returned to IBM in November of 2005 as a contractor in Administrative Services before assuming the position as the Colorado Technical Vitality Coordinator through January 2013.
