Design engineer for the HAM-126-6.61 and the HAM-126-8.91 sections of Ronald Reagan Highway connecting IR-75 and IR-71. This four-lane divided freeway involved new construction including several interchanges. The projects also involved significant drainage and wetlands mitigation.
I-275 Widening and Resurfacing, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8 - Design Engineer
This project included 4.5-mile interstate widening, rehabilitation, and resurfacing of existing IR-275, with a partial cloverleaf interchange. Design responsibilities included horizontal and vertical geometry, median storm drainage design, roadway safety design, maintenance of traffic (including temporary signalized ramps), traffic control, and noise barrier design.
Eastern Corridor Transportation Study, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8 - Design Engineer
The Eastern Corridor Study was a long-range, multi-modal transportation planning and implementation project undertaken by a partnership of state, county and city governments to identify a workable combination of strategies for improving the long-term travel mobility between the City of Cincinnati and Cincinnati's eastern suburbs. This partnership includes the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana Regional Council of Governments (OKI), the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Clermont County, Hamilton County, the City of Cincinnati, and the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA).

Senior design engineer responsible for all phases of roadway design including geometric computations, quantity calculations and computer applications to plan preparation. This large project spanned two counties and required significant drainage improvements.
US-30 Multilane Expressway Final Design, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 9 - Lead Geometrics Engineer
This project was a new 11 mile expressway which included one three level system interchange and two service diamond interchanges near Upper Sandusky, Ohio. I was responsible for all phases of design on this project comprised of 2,200 plan, profile, and cross section sheets. I also wrote all of the Geopak criteria files for this work.
SR 125 (Beechmont Avenue) Final Design, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8 - Design Engineer
Design engineer for the 1.2 mile widening of Beechmont Avenue (HAM-125-1.56) from the existing three-lane (middle reversible lane) to a five-lane section within an urbanized area of Cincinnati. The existing pavement was intended to be salvaged calling for complicated pavement salvage plans. The project also included widening of the bridge over Clough Creek and involved modification to the SR 32 interchange.
SR 32 (Beechmont Viaduct) Final Design, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8 - Design Engineer
Design engineer for reconstruction of the Beechmont Avenue Viaduct (HAM-32-0.14) grade separation with (then) Conrail railroad tracks. The project involved urban interchange ramp construction and significant utility coordination. Design challenges included avoiding a 100 year old 72" combined brick sewer and a 20" high pressure natural gas transmission line. Additionally, comprehensive coordination with Conrail was required. The project also involved complicated maintenance of traffic operations due to the interchange elements and close proximity to U.S. 50.
U.S. 35 Final Design, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 7 - Design Engineer
Design engineer for the GRE-35-14.44 section of the U.S. 35 relocation project near Xenia, Ohio. The project consisted of four-lane divided roadway with diamond interchanges. Due to the flat terrain, the project was greatly impacted by drainage.
US-33 Bridge Replacement, Ohio Department of Transportation, District 10 - Design Engineer
Responsible for the final approach roadway design for this cable stay bridge replacement project across the Ohio River between Pomeroy, Ohio and Mason, WV. Design responsibilities included roadway horizontal and vertical geometry, pavement and roadside drainage design, utility relocation and coordination, maintenance of traffic and traffic control.

Design responsibilities included existing roadway inventory and geometric alignment design for all roadways which required improvement to current design standards.
Calabar to Ikom Highway, Nigeria - Design Engineer
Design Engineer responsible for preliminary plans and construction cost estimate for the 130-kilometer highway connecting the port city of Calabar to the remote area of Ikom in the highlands of Nigeria. The project included multiple river crossings, and was designed to provide the only paved access to the coast in the region.

Geometrics engineer responsible for preliminary horizontal and vertical design for the mainline widening of 7 miles of I-75 in Hamilton County from Western Hills Viaduct to Paddock Road, including the IR-74 / IR-75 multi level system interchange and the Hopple Street service interchange, which required braided ramp configurations. Additional responsibilities included superelevation design and multiple vertical bridge calculations.

Roadway Team Leader for the Portsmouth Bypass, a 16 mile, limited-access, four-lane, divided freeway through Scioto County as part of the Appalachian Development Highway System. This project included multiple cuts and fills of up to 200 feet, as well as two complex system interchanges and two service interchanges.
