Currently participating in the GCSS-A Test and Evaluation out of Fort Hood and Fort Bliss, TX to determine whether the system is operationally effective, suitable and survivable for the Army to manage logistics information and enable timely, data driven decisions. As a test team member will conduct audits with personnel from the US Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC), and the Test Support Contractor. USAOTC will conduct the initial Operational Test (IOT) at Fort Bliss, TX; Kingstown, Richmond, and Petersburg, VA, and Rome, NY. Test will be conducted at all sites from October 3 to October 21, 2011. As a test participant will complete data collection surveys and forms on GCSS-Army Web Based Data Collection (WBDC) site; input data by automated and manual means; oversee the data being entered. Scan and save paper forms as part of the test archives, and then shredded at the end of the test. Identify and record personnel involved in the test. Include data relating to user rank, grade, transportation background, certifications, and role in the test. Track specific tasks and critical business functions performed by the test participants while using GCSS-Army. Record problems occurring during task events. Complete Test Incident Reports (TIR) for task events that are not complete, timely, or accurate, or when any system anomaly is observed. Observe and document key quality insights into the system effectiveness, suitability, and survivability. Record comments and opinions of test team members on the GCSS-Army capabilities.
FBCB2 (the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below
Participate in the Network Integration Evaluation (NIE) test event at White Sands Missile Range, NM and Fort Bliss, TX in collaboration with the US ARMY Operational Test Command (USAOTC). Performed installation, data collection, peak up, harvest, and de-installation of the Improved Field Data Collector v4 (IFDCv4) system. Responsible for the operation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) during the testing that began June 6 and ran through June 29. Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment. Knowledge of the MTS (Mobile Tracking Systems) systems as well as other ABCS Systems to include; EPLRS, SINCGARS, ASIP. Conduct a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors.
