Job Description- To inspect and refurbish surgical medical kit. To assure all lot codes were recorded properly. To see that all implants were good and in there proper spot in the kit. To assure all medical tools were working and free of debris. To replace any and all broken, missing and used pieces. To assure that any and all medical kits that went out to the surgery room had all inplants and tools that were required for that kit. These medical kits were used for orthopedic surgeries. These kits included small screws and plates as well as large screws and rods. We were required to know and follow all Standard Operating Procedures that pertained to our department. We were required to stay up to date on all changes. We were introduced to the FDA/ Quality System Requirements.

Job Description - Maintaining the quality of our products and ensure the satisfactory of the customer. Maintaining a clean and safe work area. To read and follow prints of products to be assembled. Assembling multiple products. Example - parking gate arms, ticket mechanisms, electrical panels for gate machines, fee computers. To train and teach others how to assemble products. Testing and inspecting product before packing to make sure product had everything required to be packed and shipped. Ordering parts needed using part numbers. When the stock room and packing department were short on employees or overtime was available I would work in these departments. This included looking up, locating and putting away or delivering parts to the employees on the floor, inventory of parts, packing products using a foam machine, styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap. Labeling product for shipping.

This also included collecting payment and seeing that the orders were made and sent properly as requested by the customer. These orders would be anywhere from 1 to 50 baskets or boxes per customer order and would detail being sent to several different places on several different days.
