Mr. Angeles was a senior computer aided design draftsman (CADD) for the Engineering
Group at LMS; he played a key role increasing the quality of work product by following
innovative trends in the CADD technical field.
In his first year at LMS, Mr. Angeles worked on a Sewer Study for the city of Jersey City.
The project included field survey, inspection and a complete hand drafting of the entire
Jersey City Storm Sewer System with ink on Mylar.
Two years later Mr. Angeles was given a permanent position at LMS as a JR draftsman.
At LMS, Mr. Angeles taught himself CAD. In the early 90's CAD was still in its infancy,
LMS purchased a CAD software called Versa Cad and its Land Development companion
Design Plus. Using Versa Cad Lemuel drafted the Process Flow Diagrams and Construction
Details for a 24- MGD Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade Project for the city of Hoboken NJ.
Mr. Angeles helped draft a major Land Development Subdivision project called Pierson
Lakes in Sterlington NY,
Using Versa Cad and Design Plus, Mr. Angeles also drafted a Landfill Cap/Closure Project
called Combe Fill North.
The Landfill Cap design was drafted using CAD and consisted of a multi-layer cap, a
drainage layer incorporating a leachate collection system, common fill and topsoil.
Additional design drafting called for a gas venting system, perimeter drainage channels and
new monitoring wells.
Before joining LMS, Mr. Angeles worked at Jersey Steel Rule Die Co. where he acquired
experience in precise hand drafting line work of packaging materials on Mylar. Precise
drafting was of the outmost importance given that the drawing would be used as a template to
guide the machine shop technician cutting the die.
PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
NJ) AutoCAD drafting of the plans and
sections of the existing Sludge Thickener Bldg and Tanks and the Sludge Heat Treatment
Facility to be used as base plans and sections for the new design. It included General,
Demolition, Structural and Process Piping drawings. The design included a new Centrifuge
along with feed Pumps and Chemical feed pumps and Water.
Village of Andes (NY), Water Supply Improvement Project. Lemuel drafted an 18 sheet
AutoCAD-LD Water Main design for the town of Andes NY, complete with Hydraulic
Profile, Chlorine Building Modifications, Reservoir Site Plan, 30' scale Plan & Pipe line
Profiles, Electrical Site Plan with Single-line Diagrams and Construction Details of the
reservoir site and the pipeline. The pipeline profiles were created using Land Development
Desktop. The Design also called for As-built revision Plans.
Village of Andes (NY), Sanitary Sewer Project. Lemuel drafted an 18 sheet, AutoCAD-LD,
Sewer Main design for the town of Andes NY, complete with 20' scale Plan and Pipe Profile
for 4 roads and 2 Construction Detail sheets. The profiles were created using Land
Development Desktop Civil Design features. The Design also called for an As-built revision
Plans.
Lemuel was the lead AutoCAD
draftsman for a Waste Water Treatment Plant Design of 37 sheets. Complete with 11 General
sheets, 5 Site Plan sheets, 4 Structural sheets, 4 Architectural Elevation sheets, 9 Mechanical
Plans, Elevation and Section sheets. The combined use of paper space and layer management
aids in creating a design once and reusing it (as opposed to copying it) as many times as
necessary. All of the disciplines mentioned above were "covered" under one layout of the
design, thus creating the ability of revising once and have the revision disseminated
throughout the entire design.
WP3 Subdivision, (NY) Lemuel drafted with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop a
Planning Board Sketch Submission of a 396 acre land subdivision located in the town of
Woodbury, Orange Co. NY. The submission consisted of a Site Survey with callouts of
adjacent owners, a Proposed Road and Lot Layout and a Proposed Site Plan Layout. The
design also included the Proposed Road Profiles for 12 roads with a 14 percent slope
maximum.
This site presented the challenge of a road design that featured multiple horizontal compound
road curbs at a site with a 300 ft elevation differential. Most intersections also called for a
rotary. The profile sheets were created using a combination of a Cad grid/paper space
technique to lay out the long profiles in a 34in x 44in border just as quickly as it takes Land
Development Software to "create" them. The design was revised approximately 20 times. A
Slope Analysis Plan and a Drainage Analysis Plan were also created.
Manhattan Woods, Rockland Co. (NY) Lemuel helped draft with AutoCAD a Sketch
Submission of a Land Subdivision located in Orangetown, Rockland County NY. The
submission included a Final Plat, a Grading and Utility Plan, Utility Profile, Erosion Control
Plan and Construction Details.
Town of Orangetown, Rockland Co. (NY) Lemuel helped draft an upgrade of a truck
washing bay for the county highway department in the town of Clarkstown.
The layout included a Site Plan, Plan, Sections and Details, Drainage Construction Details, a
Diversion Meter Chamber and Storage Tank Detail and a Detail Sheet.
Clarkstown Central School District Fuel Supply Improvements, Rockland Co. ( NY)
Lemuel drafted upgrades and improvements to Felix Festa Middle School and a High School
Bus Garage Heating Oil Fuel Supply.
Big V Super Markets, Florida (NY) Lemuel drafted a Water Distribution Main from a water
treatment building to a subdivision. The design included a Pipe Plan & Profile layout, a
Water Treatment Modifications Plan with Mechanical Plan, Sections and Elevations details
and the Electrical Plan, Diagrams and Details.
Hudson River Psychiatric Center Dormitory Authority of the State of New York
Poughkeepsie (NY) DASNY.
Lemuel drafted an interim PCB remedial measure of stream sediment. The design included a
Cover Sheet, 2 sheets detailing the Existing Conditions of the site, 2 sheets of Site
Preparations, 1 Excavation Sheet, 2 Final Grading Plans, a Profile sheet and a Detail sheet.

Lemuel drafted an Elimination of un-permitted Discharge at Bldg 120. The Design included a
Cover Sheet, a Manhole Boiler Sump (Existing) sheets, Boiler Sump (New work) sheet and
an Electrical Sheet.

Poughkeepsie (NY) DASNY.
Lemuel drafted an Elimination of Discharge to a Storm Sewer at the Bronx Psychiatric
Center. The design included a Cover Sheet, an Existing Conditions and Demolition Sheet, a
New Construction Sheet - Plans Elevations and Details, a Miscellaneous Detail Sheet and
two Electrical Sheets.
The Port Authority of NY and NJ Lemuel helped draft a Water Pollution Control Facility
for Fuel Farms at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The design called for General,
Civil, Mechanical, Structural and Electrical drawings.
Harris Corporation, Melbourne (FL) Lemuel drafted the Groundwater Remediation
System for Brault Lagoon Site in West Chazy NY. The design included a Cover sheet, a
Treatment Building Plan and Elevation a Valve Meter Chamber Sump, Misc. Piping Details,
a Structural Plan of the Treatment Building, a Mechanical Plan and Elevation of the Air
Stripping Tower, a P&I Diagram and Mechanical Details.
Kensico Water Pollution Control Study (NY) Lemuel drafted Reservoir Maps for the layout
of interval Sampling Point Data. Drafted Bathymetry Maps using Bathymetry collected data
points.
