As an Administrative support Assistant III at the Department of Rehabilitation Services in Montgomery, I spend over 50 percent of my time working with the inventory property manager. I make sure inventory information is updated one day prior to actual inventory, provide printed inventory listing to inventory control officer prior to inventory, enter fixed assets data changes from the inventory just completed within five days of receiving changes from inventory control officer, process all unit transfers by entering them into protégé, assist in scheduling equipment pickups, prepare SD-1 form for State surplus and make sure equipment is processed in a timely manner and provide customer support and assistance for the purchasing/supply division in day to day operations. I communicate verbally either in person or over the phone with all staff members around the State of Alabama about inventory property. I proofread memos and correct and type them to be sent out to executive team members within the agency as well as to the vendors. I supervise on Administrative Support Assistant I, which consist of working with car schedules, purchase orders, assigning property numbers to different equipment and communicating with different people within the agency. I keep up with my department leave, which consist of me adding leave and subtracting leave every pay period.

As an Administrative Support Assistant at the Department of Public Safety in Montgomery, I input data into the computer for the grants department to keep up with the grants and budget information. I would take the grants to the ADECA agency to be signed and then bring them back and scan them into the computer to be saved in the database. I spent 50 percent of my time being on the computer keeping the database in order and up-to-date. I also typed memos to be sent out to different agencies and vendors. I kept the filing system updated and in order at all times.

As an Administrative Support Assistant I with the Department of Corrections in Union Springs, AL, I would type reports about the inmates behavior and status to be reviewed by my supervisor. I would go into the mainframe database and look up information about an inmate for family members and people who calls in that is authorized to get information on an inmate. I spent 50 percent of my time doing orders to process inmates in and out of the facility. I answered a multiple line phone system for the classification department. I kept the inmates jacket (folders) file in order in the filing system. I also kept up with leave for all classification employees in my department.
Have completed courses at Columbus State University for Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, access, word and front page.
