The job involved testing and repairing Multifunction Color Display (MFD) Systems used in the cockpits of the F15-Eagle, F18-Night Attack, & F22-Raptor aircraft. Tested and evaluated display systems in accordance with Manufacturing & Final Acceptance Test procedures. RF, Digital, and Analog electronics - surface mount components. Served as Lead Technician in Production Test.
PILOT PRODUCTION /ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
October 1995 to July 2001
Tested, troubleshot & repaired Digital Microwave Radio Systems used in point-to-point & point-to-multipoint radio communications systems (5 to 38 GHz): T1 & T3. ODU/IDU components consisted of: TX/RX Up/Down Converters, Amplifiers, Filters, Frequency Multipliers, Isolators, Diplexer, I.F. Processor, RF Modem, Digital processing and controls, Alarm circuits, Waveguide assemblies and Parabolic antennas. Troubleshot & repaired customer returns (RMAs) down to the box, board, and individual discrete component level. RF, Digital, and Analog electronics - surface mount components. Some international company travel - marketing technical support and customer service engineering. Served as Production Supervisor.
RF TEST TECHNICIAN
February 1993 to October 1995
The position involved tuning & aligning RF Power Amplifiers, 50W, used in the cellular communications service. Tuned and measured VSWR, Gain, Power, Harmonics, etc. Also included troubleshooting & repairing RMAs (customer returned units). Investigated customer complaints and root cause of product failures, and implemented corrective actions. Recorded all test results - filled out the data sheets - wrote the technical reports and provided feedback to the engineers as required. Served as Test Section Supervisor.

August 1986 to February 1992
Built, tested, troubleshot and repaired shipboard, submarine, and aircraft Microwave Radar Surveillance (ESM) systems used by the US Navy, and foreign allied governments (.5 - 18 GHz). Tuned, repaired, retrofitted and upgraded Radar Surveillance Systems returned from the field (Customer Field Returns). Trained military technicians - System Operator & Maintenance training. RF/Microwave electronics, Digital and Analog circuits. AC/DC electrical wiring, and electro-mechanical assembly. *DOD Secret Security Clearance.
