Freelance Contracts Manager with Killby & Gayford, Billericay working on Barclays Bank Branch National Development Programme. Responsible for all aspects of contract management on a wide variety of projects from smaller Refresh schemes to larger Remodel and Flagship refurbishments and also new Aquisitions. Management responsibilities included involvement at Pre ISV and ISV meetings to agree scope of works, monitoring progress through pricing process, pre-planning and programming of works, Health & Safety and quality control during construction phase and final delivery of snag free contract.

Transferred back to W A Hills Colchester as Senior Contracts manager following centralisation to one office.
Contract management responsibilities as before plus management of Design and Build projects, implementation of new legislation, codes of practise and government mandates including Energy Ratings, Eco-Homes/Code for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM Assessments and Secured by Design etc. Also responsible for larger new build projects including private and housing association residential developments both flats and houses, care homes, schools, hotels, industrial units and visitors centres.

Transferred to Sadler & Sons in 1991 following takeover by W A Hills. Responsible for all aspects of running and developing a small construction company including team building, administration, marketing, management strategy, budgets, training schedules and process management. Responsible for overseeing all contracts.

Responsible for all aspects of contract management from acceptance of tender to completion including tender review, client liaison, resource management, man management, programming, Health & Safety management, procurement, progress monitoring and reporting, quantity surveying and final accounting. Contracts included maintenance contracts, termed contracts, shop fitting, extensions, alterations and refurbishments for a wide variety of clients such as Banks, Building Societies, The Post Office, BT, Shops, British Gas, Eastern Electricity, Schools, hospitals and Local Authorities.
