Production (Process) Supervisor

Lehigh Cement Company
-

1991 to Present

Lehigh Cement Company - I began my career as a general laborer and quickly progressed to production tasks such as; The Milling task (FL Smidth ball grinding mills) the Kiln Burner task (computerized, central control room/three (3) 11'.6" diameter Rotary Kilns 410' long), the Kiln Burner Helper, and Miller Helper tasks; I was qualified to operate an Overhead Crane with clam shell bucket; I was also the Feeder Helper, 21st Shift Relief for the Mill Dept., the 21st Shift Relief for the Kiln Dept., and the Vacation Relief for both the Kiln and Mill Departments. I achieved the highest hourly position in the plant as a Process Attendant VII on March 6, 2000 and was then promoted to the salaried position of Process Supervisor on May 24, 2004 where I have remained until December 2011. As a Process Supervisor, I was solely responsible for the entire cement plant and the production operation.

Other Lehigh Cement Qualifications - Maintenance Supervisor during annual winter shut-downs; supervising repair maintenance personnel, I am Computer literate. I can perform General Labor, Forklift Truck Operator, Jackhammer Operator, Bobcat Loader Operator, Dump Truck Operator, Vacuum Truck Operator, Power Sweeper Operator, Brick Layer (rotary kilns), and Overhead Mill Room Hoist Operator.

Note: During Winter Maintenance Shut Downs, I have been assigned to the following: I have worked for the Maintenance Department on temporary assignment for the past thirteen (13) winter shutdowns. During that time period, I have been assigned to replace mill liners, rebuild Clinker Coolers, rebuild Feed Chutes, rebuild Coal Mills, assist in the replacement of various screw conveyors in the Kiln feed-end, service "all" Dust Arrestors, replace miscellaneous conveyor belts, was trained to operate the Small Grove Crane, JLG Man lift, and was also assigned as a Welder (was trained as a welder during my High School years) and have experienced frequent use of a cutting torch for various repair tasks.

Special Note: I consider myself as an excellent candidate for employment in your Company. My Supervisor experience is one of my greatest assets. My ability to solve equipment problems on my own without being told "what to do next" is another asset. Like my father, I am a "people person." I can work with anyone and have worked with the majority of employees at the Lehigh Cement Plant with only minor disagreements with Union employees. If given the opportunity, I believe that I can fill your open employment position expeditiously. All is needed is informational training, with your Management Staff, on your current Facility Policies and Procedures.
