Fast-paced high-demanding work environment
Butcher Block Supervisor (Current Employee) – Yorba Linda, CA – October 10, 2014
A typical day at work includes setting up the butcher block case with fresh product and visually-appealing displays, cutting and wrapping meat, intercom announcements for in-store advertisement, receiving shipments, stocking shelves, writing orders, taking inventory, cleaning and sanitizing, directing other employees according to relevance of each task, recording sales, purchases, and gross profit ratio on the computer, and friendly customer service and interaction. I learned a great deal as a butcher block supervisor such as product knowledge, how to interact with the public, how to boost sales, how to limit shrink, and how to manage and direct employees. The hardest part of the job is completing all the necessary tasks involved every day. This is a very fast-paced job with numerous tasks that need to be done at once. The only way to do this is to prioritize the tasks and communicate with my employees to work as a team and get the tasks done. The most enjoyable part of the job is the people. I enjoy my coworkers and the customers. I interact with so many different people every day.
