The Manager Marketing Operations is responsible for assisting the Director with marketing needs for TechCrunch conference and events, including TechCrunch DISRUPT, Crunchies Awards and day conferences. Emphasis is overall event marketing including sponsor, expo area planning and execution.

Responsibilities include:
Marketing Operations

  • Pre- and onsite planning with TechCrunch sponsorship sales for sponsor activation/expo areas
  • Coordinating set up and floorplan needs with facilities, labor and production managers
  • Oversee logistics of sponsor load in, set up and removal of event equipment
  • Manage deadlines and relationships for graphic design needs including logos, signage and print needs related for venue branding
  • Coordinating offline and online marketing with TechCrunch community manager, developers
Key skills:
  • Excellent Project management skills
  • Ability to work in team environment, manage relationships and problem solving
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills working with high profile sponsors and volunteers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented self starter, capable of working independently with little supervision
  • Must be capable of successfully managing multiple projects under tight deadlines

Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years in marketing operations role
  • Strong creative, can-do attitude with operational perspective
  • Ability to understand production finance and budgets
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; must communicate effectively across departments
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Powerpoint/Keynote and internet skills; Photoshop and some graphic skills desired
