Interdisciplinary practice seeks early to midcareer psychologist for opportunity working in behavioral medicine, particularly chronic pain. The successful candidate will be mentored by the psychologist who established the practice, and who is active on a statewide level in advocacy and legislative efforts for chronic pain patients. This candidate will also be mentored in the area of public speaking, as well as in supervising and running a successful practice, with the goal of partnership.
The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, and fellowship training in chronic pain. Those without experience in chronic pain will be considered if they are particularly talented in other areas. Ambition, a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit are sought.
The practice includes a CARF Accredited Interdisciplinary Pain Rehabilitation Program (IPRP) in which the candidate will be involved. The position also involves providing outpatient services in behavioral pain management, evaluations of various pain related issues, as well as general outpatient mental health services.
The candidate must be licensed in Ohio, or license eligible.
