Vermont Fuel Efficiency Partnership (“VFEP”) is a collaboration of Weatherization Program and housing agencies, and Efficiency Vermont, to dramatically improved the efficiency of affordable multifamily housing statewide.
VFEP seeks candidates for summer 2013 position to assist in a fuel usage study of past projects, to compare actual savings with predicted. Since 2010, VFEP has provided services to 185 buildings with over 1500 apartments, and an average predicted savings of 43%. It is a comprehensive, large-scale, statewide multifamily deep-energy retrofit program – the first, and still only, in the nation. This will be an important study, and is an exciting opportunity for anyone preparing for a career in building science, energy efficiency services or the construction industry. More information about VFEP may be found at vfep.org.
Primary requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills, and ability to work with minimal supervision; and very good computer skills, especially with Excel spreadsheets. A full job description is posted at vfep.org and at cvcac.org.
Position is temporary full-time, about 380 hours total, and expected to be available approximately from June to August. VFEP is a project of Central Vermont Community Action Council, and this position will be based in Barre, VT.
