  • Assist senior team members in the identification, evaluation, selection, approval, and monitoring of external investment managers within Private Equity and Private Energy, including international (non US based) managers and US based managers with international exposures
  • Evaluate and monitor external investment management organizations which typically manage the Fund’s money over a contractually specified, long-term period of 8-12 years
  • Work with investment team members and in-house legal counsel to negotiate and document key business terms and legal provisions necessary to close on partnership agreements
  • Work with the Fund’s CIO to identify, evaluate and implement appropriate risk management strategies, including but not limited to rebalancing trades and derivatives hedges
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for the Fund’s Investment Committee, including investment manager recommendations, asset class reviews, white papers, and policy proposals
  • Research, analyze, prepare and present investment recommendations to senior management and the Fund’s Investment Committee
  • Monitor operational and compliance procedures and issues of the Fund’s Private Equity and Private Energy managers
  • Work with the Fund’s CIO on special projects across the Fund’s liquid asset classes on an as-needed basis
  • Assist in assessing the appropriateness of the asset class mix and of sector weightings within asset classes
  • Support the Fund’s other liquid asset classes on an as-needed basis
  • Report to the VP of Private Equity and VP of Real Assets
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required.

Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Affairs, Management or related field and academic or professional experience with international business development or investments required. Candidate must have four years of professional investment or finance experience and significant experience with Private Equity and Private Energy partnerships, including at least two years with a leading non-profit institutional manager-of-managers (i.e. university endowment, foundation fund, or pension plan sponsor).
