Supports online video production including writing storylines, interviewing, filming and editing.
Photographs and catalogs images for online use, maintains Web component of image library; Prepares materials for online publications; Generates custom graphics for online use.
Updates external campus calendar, Web editorial calendar and other department calendaring database information.
Monitors the Web Team email, and other Web-related email accounts.
Monitors Web pages for outdated content and hyperlinks to maintain integrity of website content.
Manage Web supplies and equipment.
Monitors online media for University references; supports all Web, social media, and marketing efforts where necessary.
Attends/covers after hours events where necessary; contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties and special projects as assigned or directed; maintains department confidence and safeguards operations.
Assists in the review of the University’s website and makes changes, or causes changes to be made, as needed to keep the site current. Monitors online information for accuracy, improved methods of presentation and University style guidelines.
Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.
Under general supervision, helps to develop and maintain the University of Redlands website, assists campus departments with Web direction, and facilitates multimedia needs for the Web and social media mediums.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with two (2) to three (3) years of additional coursework in related fields such as business, computer software/word processing, spreadsheet programs and Web development, plus three (3) to five (5) years of related experience or an equivalent combination thereof. Considerable knowledge of HTML, PC software, knowledge of MAC software a plus, video production, including video software, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office, including Excel. Knowledge of journalism techniques and style. Must understand writing principles for the Web and social media. Journalism and other writing skills a plus. Successful candidate must possess strong organizational skills; excellent communication skills/verbal and written; the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences; the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers, supervisors, students and off campus contacts; interpret and apply a variety of rules, regulations and procedures. Must be able to focus on multiple tasks with tight deadlines while exercising initiative in organizing and completing assignments independently.
