Position General Responsibilities:|
Develop residential real estate loans. Support in Home Equity area and Credit Line when appropriate. Represents the Bank in community activities.
Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Minimum 1-3 years in Real Estate Lending/Originating
Knowledge of secondary markets and packaging of real estate loans.
Have strong group of local contacts for business development.
Four years of post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills

Handle the origination, recommendations and processing for real estate loans and development of new business.
Position Specific Responsibilities, Duties and Competencies
1. Real Estate Lending Functions:
Originates, recommends and begins processing of residential real estate (FHA, VA, secondary market conventional and portfolio) requests. Possesses the necessary underwriting skills to determine eligibility of applicants to qualify for conventional FNA/VA loan programs.
Detailed knowledge of secondary markets for real estate loans.
Detailed knowledge of various other loan programs for the Bank’s portfolio, including construction loans.
2. Real Estate Underwriting, Sales, Funding & Processing:
On-going assessment of the Bozeman Real Estate Market to create an effective and competitive market.
Communication with the Processing Center to provide the necessary tools to compete in the Bozeman market.
Work in conjunction with the President, Marketing Officer and Consumer Loan Officer to develop and implement effective retail marketing programs.
3. New Business Development/Sales/Public Relations:
Promote the improvement of Stockman Bank through quality customer service, promotion of products, professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic.
Greet all customers pleasantly and make them feel welcome and comfortable.
Handle transactions quickly and professionally.
Effectively handle customer questions and problems.
Generate profitable new business for the Bank with overall responsibilities for the real estate department, including borrowing and depositor relationships.
Maintain business relationship with contacts within the community, which can provide leads on other potential business for the Bank.
Regular interaction with Realtors and other retail customers involved in real estate and consumer activities.
Cross-selling of other Bank products to real estate and consumer loan department customers, including life insurance and other fee income services.
Participation in community events and organizations.
Other duties related to the Retail Loan Department.
Limited Back-up for Commercial Lending and other functions.
5. Federal Regulations:
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures that apply to and concern this position’s area of responsibility, including general regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and various other Federal and State regulations as they apply.
