College Degree or equivalent work experience in customer service/data entry
Under the direction of the Manager, the service representative must work to achieve the goals of their team by working both independently and with other members of the team to provide efficient and accurate service to its customers. Must have acceptable production and quality scores. The service representative will be trained to have an understanding of the excess loan process and systems that support it, and should be able to complete transactions on life insurance policies, with limited assistance.
Will be responsible for processing routine data entry transactions.
Develop and maintain working knowledge of administrative and mainframe systems needed to process these transactions.
Makes decisions related to specific transactions within procedural guidelines.
Decision making limited to determining outcomes of routine questions and issues.
Scope/Accountability
Accountable for accuracy, expediency, and ensuring proper procedures and appropriate regulatory and departmental guidelines are met.
Perform daily tasks in a manner consistent with management objectives and division goals.
Resolve problems and questions in a timely manner.
Learn on an ongoing basis, about Insurance industry, specifically how it applies to traditional life products.
Communications/Contacts
Internal contacts include in-house resource and support departments, which include Shared Services, Underwriting, Compliance, Tax, and the Individual Life Department.
External contacts include Clients, Agents, and Service Offices.
Demonstrate willingness to research both internal and external customer inquiries and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
Use tact and good judgment in all interactions with both internal and external customers
