This is a full time, hourly position that reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure cost effective, efficient and safe transportation and receipt of goods Ensure that materials shipped and received are verified against pertinent documentation, such as bills of lading, purchase orders and invoices Effectively communicate information with both internal and externals customer, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. Properly document and prepare product, ensuring accuracy and timely shipment. Ensure departmental organization and cleanliness Expedite and promptly resolve order discrepancies, shipment delays and/or any unresolved shipping issues. SHIPPING & RECEIVING / INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK REQUIREMENTS High School diploma, or equivalent 2-3 years of shipping and receiving experience Forklift experience, including certification. Knowledge of UPS, FedEx and large carrier shipment processes. Highly motivated, self starter Extreme attention to detail Excellent verbal communication skills, including telephone. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Above average computer skills, to include Word and Excel Experience using an AS400 computer system a big plus. Physical Demands: Ability to interchangeably stand and walk up to 75 of work day Ability to climb on and off s forklift frequently throughout the day. Ability to lift items overhead to put on shelves.
