Manages all company parts inventories and is responsible for maintaining a supply of parts, providing the highest possible customer service within the boundaries of the inventory investment the dealership deems appropriate.
1. Collaborates with Aftermarket Manager in setting objectives and ordering plans to support the marketing plan of the owner group. 3. Maximizes use of all appropriate order discount programs. 4. Manages multi-store inventory management policy to centralize parts, which are not supportable at individual locations. 5. Establishes stocking and scrapping policies based on owner group and location demands. 6. Maintains order cost and carrying charge calculations reflecting current market and economic conditions. 7. Works with Parts Lead, or Parts Manager to identify and support use of best practices in counter operations. 8. Utilizes the surplus return program in line with owner group policy. 9. Audits the performance of the department on a monthly basis. 10. Coordinates the perpetual or annual physical inventory of all parts and related inventories.
Skills & Qualifications:
Solid analytical skills.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
Thorough knowledge of parts inventory management principles.
2-3 years of parts management experience.
