Responsible for quality patient care by providing supervision and guidance for the patients as well as maintaining a safe and therapeutic patient environment.
Hours of the Center are Mon - Thursday 10 - 6pm.
Program Counselor to work with the Sevierville Wellness Recovery Center.
Requires Peer Support Training or that the individual has been the recipient of mental health services and is willing to become a peer support specialist.
Ability to relate well with individuals with mental illness diagnosis and manage personal recovery at the same time a requirement. "F" endorsement driving license required and that the applicant has the ability to pick up participants from their homes, and drive consumers to activities or the peer support center. Basic computer skills including ability to use email, create word documents, use excel to create monthly reports. Ability to lead groups in wellness and recovery classes and insure safety for all individuals who attend the center or go on outings. Support the supervisor of the center in managing the tasks of the day.
May require some travel during the year to peer support conferences or meeting with the state TMHDDSAS director in Nashville for training.
Minimum Education: High School/GED Required. Bachelors or working towards a Licensure
