CompSource Oklahoma has an immediate opening for an experienced Java Developer. CompSource has just embarked on a major project to convert our legacy enterprise system to an off-the-Shelf, Web-based/J2EE system. As a member of the conversion team this position will work closely with our vendors, stakeholders, business analysts, developers and other team members to configure and customize the application in support of key business initiatives. At conclusion of the project, the position will perform day to day support as well as new development. This position will also require participation in an operational support rotation including off hours and weekends. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: •
BS in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience. •
At least 2 years of experience in a combination of the following areas: Java enterprise programming, web-based development experience, of enterprise-scale J2EE design and implementation, JDBC, JSPs, Servlet, Apache, Tomcat, XML, SQL, and Linux. •
Experience working with Guidewire Insurance suite and PL/SQL is a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: •
To understand, articulate, and conform to core OOP principles. •
To understand, utilize, and leverage core Java architecture. •
Comfortable offering input across requirements phases and distilling the product into fine-grained deliverables. •
Excellent problem solving skills and troubleshooting skills. Must be able to quickly assess problems and determine proper steps to resolution. •
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. •
Ability to work well with a wide variety of people with varying technical skill sets and business knowledge is required.
