Job Details:

ProEnergy’s client is looking for a Full-Time Product Engineer / Design Engineer for their Midwest Office location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design Food Service equipment (specifically Kitchen equipment) for fast-food chain restaurants, schools, hospitals, etc. The Product Engineer will be assigned to a project that may start out as basic as an idea on a napkin...and take the Project through the design phase and all the way through production launch. Everything that the Client designs is designed in Solid Works, so this program experience is a big plus. 1/2 of the Product Engineer’s job will be to design the idea...and the other 1/2 will be to project manage the production of the new equipment. Candidates must have experience in Product Design / R&D Design for large, manufacturing facilities. A unique set of conditions comes with each product idea, but the following conditions are considered normal and dealt with routinely:

Reliability Testing

Serviceability

Packaging design
We have a documented Product Development Cycle flowchart that is a roadmap during ramp-up and volume production
Requirements:
·


Select proper materials for product construction (i.e. metal, glass, plastic, etc.)
·
Determine manufacturing methods that are cost effective to meet design spec. (i.e. sheet metal, casting, extrusion, etc.)
·
Generate drawings and 3D models in CAD
·
Documented evidence of strong “problem solving” skills
·
Documented Project Management skills
·
Complex projects that had 6 – 12 month or longer development cycles
·
Leader of a multi-functional project (i.e. team members outside of your dept.)
·
Degreed Engineer, 5-10 years' experience minimum
·
Solid background in Mechanical Design, preferable Food Service but not mandatory
·
Very proficient with CAD Design, preferably in solid Works
·
Experience managing R&D Engineering projects from "idea" to "production launch"
Preferred knowledge and skills:

Benefits:
