West Virginia University School of Medicine , Department of Neurology, is seeking a fellowship-trained neurologist to join a comprehensive Academic Stroke Program . The successful candidate will be board eligible/certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology. Additional training and interest in neurocritical care is welcome. Responsibilities include clinical care, research and teaching.
West Virginia University Hospital maintains a JCAHO Primary Stroke Accreditation Program . The Stroke Team serves as the core for the multi-department Comprehensive Stroke Program. The facility also features neuroimaging support including spectroscopic MRI and quantitative PET scans. Faculty from Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neurology, Neuropsychiatry, Emergency Department, and dedicated stroke nurse specialists presently staff the Stroke Team . The team is involved in clinical and translational research.
