PDS is seeking a Technical Designer for an open position in Tukwila, WA.
JOB DUTIES:
Uses CATIA V5, to develop and maintain mechanical/structural engineering product definition.
Prepares design layouts and modifies existing designs to satisfy customer and production requirements.
Assists in the development of product definition based on applicable standards, requirements and design parameters.
Applies relevant company, industry and governmental standards (e.g., design, drafting, parts) and techniques to plan, lay-out, and revise data depicting engineering designs (e.g., detail, assembly, and installation drawings or datasets).
Qualifications
JOB SKILLS:
AA degree in related discipline
Must possess knowledge of design and drafting methods (e.g., orthographic projection, descriptive geometry, layout, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, coordinate systems, etc.) as applied to computer-aided design tools in the creation of drawings and datasets.
Must possess ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications).
Prefer candidates with training and/or work experience with CATIA V5.
