Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL – Craft Recruiting Manager – Anchorage, AK
The challenge? Lead full cycle recruiting and craft Talent Acquisition for the region. As the Craft Recruiting Manager you will own, manage and drive the strategic Craft Recruiting agenda based out of our Anchorage, Alaska craft recruitment team. You will provide functional, technical and strategic expertise in support of the staff planning, recruiting, deployment and onboarding functions for our 3,000+ Alaska based employees. You should have 8+ years of related work experience with solid knowledge of recruiting initiatives in a high volume recruitment environment , as well as a strong track record of successfully providing “hands-on" recruiting and HR delivery. As a working manager, you will be responsible for inspiring, developing and leading a core team of 4 recruiting staff members, with additional contingent team members during peak hiring season. You will also use superior customer service, project management and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers and potential candidates at all levels. You will utilize your recruiting skills to work alongside the team on your own requisitions (as needed).
Our Craft Recruiting Manager :
Manages craft staffing strategies and is accountable to provide all staff required to meet organizational goals and objectives, in alignment with the Alaska HR organization
Attracts and develops HR Recruiting talent required to meet the business and enterprise objectives
Provides HR functional leadership, guidance and direction to the HR Enterprise recruiting staff
Provides input for the development and utilization of staffing metrics, data, work processes, systems and tools to effectively manage business operations
Provides line leadership, coaching and guidance in the sourcing, interviewing and selection of candidates
Utilizes BrassRing to manage candidate communications and flow through the hiring process
Trains hiring teams on effective interviewing techniques and how to utilize BrassRing to review candidates and reply through the system
Consistently focuses recruiting efforts to meet diversity recruiting goals to create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity and competitive advantage
Supports onboarding and induction programs
Works closely with the Talent Acquisition Director of the Energy, Water & Facilities Division
Provides insight and recommendations for the development of craft recruitment strategies within the enterprise
This position is for our Anchorage, AK office. Relocation assistance will be considered for qualified candidates outside the Anchorage area.
Bachelors degree and a minimum of eight years experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, sales, or marketing; or in lieu of degree, 12 years experience in recruiting, human resources, staffing, sales, or marketing
Minimum 3 years direct recruiting experience in a high volume environment (400-2,000 hires per year)
Minimum of 1 year experience as a lead recruiter or manager of individual contributors, preferably in a recruiting or HR environment
Minimum three years experience using Internet for research and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Minimum one year experience using BrassRing or other applicant tracking system
Demonstrated ability to operate independently and use sound judgment with limited functional guidance and oversight
Experience conducting and training others to conduct behavioral/competency based interviewing
Experience developing and implementing recruiting initiatives
Proven leadership, communication, team building, and management skills
Proficient user of Applicant Tracking Systems
Experience with compliance and employment law and regulations as they pertain to hiring
Ability to travel 25% of the time, primarily within the state of Alaska
In addition to the basic qualifications, the following are also preferred:
BS in Business Administration with a Human Resources Management or Business Major
CIR, CDR or other recruiting related certifications beneficial
Experience leading research, sourcing and networking initiatives to develop candidate pools
Knowledge of construction, EPC and/or heavy industry lines of business
Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR)
Six Sigma Belt trained for work process improvements or other quality background
Strong planning and organizational skills
Superior verbal, written and customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Express and demonstrate a high sense of urgency when working clients
Bachelors or 4 Year Degree
