Software Engineer CAD / DFM
You will be responsible for designing and implementing CAD automation and methodologies in the semiconductor physical design domain in order to automate & optimize designs on Intel's very latest process technologies (14nm and later). You will primarily develop software solutions for DFM structure insertion and layout completion which are critical at deep subwavelegth lithography & nanometer level processing. You will be using internal and CAD tools and will be programming in a variety of languages, Tcl w. OO extensions, C++, Perl or tool-specific languages such as Synopsys ICV PXL You will also be responsible for the related testing & expert technical support of the solutions. You will work closely with designers, design automation engineers, and methodology experts of the microprocessor and SoC design groups. The group's solutions are used by all internal design projects and also by the foundry customers of Intel.
Required: Candidates will have a BS or MS in CS or EE with VLSI design / CAD algorithm / software development emphasis.
Minimal Experience below could be acquired through coursework, research or industry work.
1-2 years of VLSI Design / CAD experience related to the design of chip products using university or vendor CAD and using these solutions as packaged design automation tools/flows.
4 years of software development experience leading to mature programming skills..
Preferred: Completed chip designs at layout, circuit level; computational geometry, material science, process control, semiconductor manufacturing coursework or related experience.

We help them apply our software to meet their design and manufacturing objectives. The work in DTS spans the complete software life cycle, from early research to mature production code with industrial robustness and quality in order to deliver critical new features in our established solutions, or to create new CAD capabilities beyond the state of art in the industry. As a member of our team, you are expected to participate actively in all steps of software development - problem analysis, requirements definition, design, coding, test, and solution deployment. Success in this fast-paced, results-oriented environment requires strong analytical skills and the ability to perform productive teamwork, which in addition to technical depends on very good communication skills
